"We need a new Luden" cracks me up because Luden isn't a noun, Ludens is the name of Kojima's mascot. Unless I'm crazy, but I'm *pretty* confident I'm not wrong.
@Evan Higgins You just prompted me to actually look it up again, and I discovered this page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_Ludens_%28book%29 Very interesting insight, I don't know why I didn't consider the word might be Latin.
Its a latin word without a direct trabslation to english, its from the verb Ludere, which can meant to play, to study, to practice. So luden is someone who is actively doing those things. Essentially Homo Ludens (as kojima sees it) would be the people who are constantly innovative, playful, and driven to self improvement. Saying we need more Luden's in the world makes more sense with that context.
